IBIE 2019 Recap

Every 3 years we head to Las Vegas, Nevada for IBIE, the International Baking Industry Exposition, where bakers, business owners, suppliers, and vendors come together to share insights, innovations, and ideas to grow and improve our industry. At FoodTools, we’ve been preparing for this event since IBIE 2016, and we were ready to display our newest innovations in food portioning solutions.

Our sales staff arrived from around the world, ready to talk with bakers about automating their portioning process. The majority of our conversations were centered on round and sheet product slicing, and ranged from our economical semi-automatic round and half sheet slicer, the CS-RS, up to the fully inline ACCUSLICE-200RF inline round cake cutting machine displayed in the booth.

Our staff also spoke with business owners about cutting and slicing other food products including cheese and butter, tortilla strips, granola bars, biscotti, and more. Our crumb spinning and pressing machines were popular as well and lots of bakers stopped by to ask about our new ultrasonic cutting machine that is positioned to compete with the waterjet cutting solutions on the market. The discussions were energizing and we’re looking forward to jumping into these projects and helping bakers streamline their portioning processes.

Most people who stopped by the booth left with some cool FoodTools swag, like our sunglasses, beach balls, bowl scrapers, pens, and our newest addition, light up bouncy balls! If you didn’t get yours make sure to stop by the FoodTools booth at an upcoming trade show and pick them up!
