FoodTools is honored to participate in the American Society of Baking’s Military Care Package Challenge, and you can too! With the holidays fast approaching it’s important for us to take a moment and thank our military members for their service to our country. Burford Corp. and ASB have teamed up to challenge the baking industry to make a difference. Please consider rallying your friends, family, and co-workers to show our support to our service men and women!
The military care package challenge is simple. Grab a box and fill it with non-perishable food and snacks, toiletries, and other comfort products to help those deployed feel a little closer to home for the holidays. For a little added pop ask local students to include thank you letters to our troops.
This week Sergio Caballero and his kids Katy and Shane did just that. As a family they went shopping for our troops and put together a fantastic box of treats and Shane’s 6th Grade class wrote a batch of personal letters to be included. A big thank you to Mr. Clopine at Kellogg School in Goleta, California! The Caballeros made a short film about the military care package program and challenge you to do the same!
