The CS-8B-4 machine slices 5 horizontal layers with 4 reciprocating blades. The previous model was limited to slicing only 4 layers of product with 3 blades and the addition of one Teflon-coated horizontal slicing blade has allowed bakeries to improve efficiency and production capacity while maintaining the same quality of cut and standard of safety. The CS-8B-4 uses proven technology along with new innovations to help cake manufacturers increase the production rates for layer cakes by removing the bottle neck of slicing by hand.
Not only can this new machine slice sponge cakes into 5 layers, the blades are easily adjustable to various heights and are even removable to allow a production facility to slice other products such as breads, rolls, and a variety of horizontal slab sizes. The added versatility to a high volume slicing machine improves the value to a bakery facility looking for high cut speeds as well as options to use one unit to portion several different products.
